Welcome back to the Blog! This week was a little sad. On Tuesday I had my final meeting with the amazing team at Ologie. My final meeting was with their wonderful Creative studio.
I have mixed emotions about my final meeting with Ologie this week. On one hand I am so excited to meet and learn about their creative studio and on the other I am sad our time together is coming to an end. They talked heavily about their process in creating products for their clients. One client the creative team worked heavily on was the Culver Academy. Check out their website to see their work. Every project starts with a mood board. These help the team find what vibe the client is going for. They create multiple boards to learn about what their client is really looking for. It helps ensure they are creating work with intention.
From there they move into creating what they call a “workshop deck”. These decks display the top mood board and expand on the one they pick. It continues into what competitors are doing and how they want to differentiate from them. Once they present the deck to their client they then move into the feedback phase. This is where they really hear what the client thinks and how they can make it better. They do this a couple of times to give the client exactly what they are looking for. By the end the client is given a wonderful product they can implement into their brand.
This week Ologie has shown me the importance of making sure I doing everything intentionally and purposely to better my personal brand. Being intentional is defined as doing something with a purpose. As this semester progresses I have decided I am only going to do things that I enjoy and will benefit me in my future plans. This includes continuing to go to my mentorship sites and soak in all of the knowledge my wonderful mentors are providing, continuing activities that mean a lot to me and finally submitting my college applications. Continuing on through the next couple of weeks I am hoping to set aside some time to finish up the work on my online portfolio. In all honesty the design and creation of my website has been my most favorite part of the semester. My senior year has been littered with many difficult challenges. Scheduling conflicts, activities, and challenging coursework are all starting to add up and cause a lot of stress for me. In order to combat those challenges I am continuously putting my best foot forward, and looking to my bright future! In order to reach my goals, I need to become more intentional with what I am doing and the time I am allotting to each activity.
